I am writing about this because I remembered the passage from the Bible , from 2 Timothy 3 :
"But mark this : There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God/ having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them."
I think that those people who declare themself fashion victims are described above, because they love money, are proud, they love themselves, ungrateful all the time because they want more, without love for people and lovers of pleasure. They have nothing to do with beeing a christian, even if they say that they believe in God, even if they go sometimes to church. It is a big difference between faith and acts in faith, God will measure our life considering our acts, good work in name of Jesus and also He wants us to give our hearts in His hands, to let Him to model and to carve us.

The term originally referred to a person who was slavishly devoted to fashion trends — someone willing to wear unflattering styles simply because the style was “in.” These people often spent considerable amounts of money to ensure that their wardrobes included all the most recent fashions. Such “trend-hopping,” however, creates a lack of personal or signature style. This category of fashion victim also runs the risk of attaching themselves to styles that never catch on, despite a designer’s best attempts.
It is normal to be careful what you buy and to define your own style, but it is wrong to become dependent of it. It is absolutly normal to take care of yourself, to use cosmetics and to define your own style but it is wrong to focus all day long only on those things. God gave us a life to live it, not to spend it on material things.
The idea of this post was to explain what a fashion victim is, in a few words, and from a christian perspective.I wrote this post in english so my friends could read it (international friends).
